Note that the "depending on availability" includes the fact that you cannot upgrade from a lower category to a higher category ifthere is no cabin available in the lower category since if there is no available cabin in the lower category then there is no specified price for that lower category. If this is your first cruise you may be better off getting something in the middle of the ship. I would recommend balcony cabins located on the "humps" (the front and the middle ones, deck 9 and higher) or on decks 10 - 12 to avoid this unpleasant situation.
