Doesn't seem to matter speed wise. Vehicle is placed in park and information center indicates it is not in park. Finally got that error to go off and shut off car. Sadly, gm had known about both problems for years, but refused to issue a recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not subjected to a recall. I've had two additional incidents. I also found water trails down the rear window side plastic casing inside the car. It creates an unsafe condition at times when parking. Get answers and make your voice heard! General motors needs to recognize the problem and resolve it by recalling these vehicles, and notifying vehicle owners of this defect before someone gets injured or killed and should also reimburse customers for the repairs which they had to pay out of pocket! 48 hours later the engine light is back on. Small trip to georgia granddaughter's birthday. They are aware of this problem, it's happening to multiple chevy customers, but no one has been able to tell me what the problem is or how to fix it. It didnt start. It would power back up, and typically I would be ok, but this is highly dangerous. While driving the car on a mostly straight parkway at 55 mph, and suddenly the steering wheel jerked sharply to the left, on its own, and I left the roadway and hit the grass median, got the car back on the roadway, shaken, and continued driving very confused as to what just happened.
