The Green Door is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Chicago, first erected in 1871 after the Great Chicago Fire. The Sunbrite Bar, on 10th Ave., was a favorite hangout for the Westies. Eventually they both went to prison as the Gotti legacy began to slowly fold. The conservative men who ran the family (through legitimate businesses in Canarsie like the local junkyards and chop shops) thought he was too loud and took the longest time to finally induct him.
